Much to my (pleasant) surprise, there is a good deal of new green growth from the banana stalks one month after the freeze. (Much more visible in the large format.)
Compare how they looked right after the freeze (when only the pups of the ‘Goldfinger’ appeared to have survived under the tent effect of the parents). (And then compare pre-freeze, as shown in the first-linked planting).
