Thank you for all your comments, and keep them sprouting! They really make this blog worthwhile. But I have a favor to ask.
Please, propagators, don’t paste long URLs into your comments without embedding them as a hyperlink or converting them first to a “tiny URL” (information on both of those options is available at links at the comment form).
Long URLs cause the template to go haywire. The center column expands as wide as needed to accommodate the entire URL, which can be really wide for some URLs! In addition to looking bad, it especially causes viewing problems for people who do not have large monitors. I wish there were a simple solution to this problem that did not impose a burden on those of you posting comments with links (which I most certainly want to encourage you to continue doing). If anyone knows of a Word Press plug-in that corrects this problem automatically, or gives the commenter buttons to generate links automatically (like I have in the editor I am using to generate this post or that I use to go back and insert hyperlinks into comments that contain template-busting URLs), please advise by way of the “contact” link on the upper-left sidebar. Thank you!
And, in the interests of reciprocity, I promise to look into a “comment preview” plug-in, as some of you have (quite reasonably) requested. I found one at the WP site, but when I tried to install it, something went very wrong and I have not attempted again to troubleshoot it or find a new version.
