This past week, David and I completed and submitted our book manuscript.
David J. Samuels and Matthew S. Shugart, Presidents, Parties, and Prime Ministers, Cambridge University Press.
We now can say it is “in press”! Click the title for the page where the revised chapters may be downloaded.
In addition, I have posted a revised paper:
David J. Samuels and Matthew S. Shugart, “The ‘Semi-presidential’ model and its subtypes: Party presidentialization and the selection and de-selection of prime ministers.”
And a new paper:
Thomas Gschwend, Matthew S. Shugart, and Thomas Zittel, “Assigning Committee Seats in Mixed-Member Systems – How Important is “Localness” compared to the Mode of Election?”
Please visit the Working Papers page for links to each of these papers.
