Yet another Angels minor league call-up, and this time Little Jered shows Big Jeffy how it’s done.
And Kendry Morales hits his second major-league homer, and first in front of the home crowd. And Tommy Murphy gets his first homer in the big leagues.
Oh, and the old Kingfish shows he can still join in the fun, too. Suddenly the Angels are almost looking like a good team again.

I went to the Angel game last night. Good to see a team manufacture runs the old fashioned way.
One move I would make would be to see what you could get for the underperforming Chone Figgins (approxmately .670 OPS) before he loses his job as an everyday player and any and all value.
The only problem will be who will be the new leadoff hitter. No one in the current lineup really fits the bill. Perhaps it might be time to try Erick Aybar and Tommy Murphy as CF’s and lead off hitters. Perhaps one will turn out OK.
The Angels have had good luck so far this season with their “second choices.” Napoli and Morales have both been productive so far in the short time each has been on the team. Perhaps it is time for a third “second choice.”
